Polar Bears - An adventure not to miss.

Unfortunately, Polar Bears are possibly facing extinction due to global warming.

As a result, this may be the last century people are able to view them in their natural habitat. One of the best places to see the Polar Bear is in Canada. Try the Nain to Torngat Mountains National Park Reserve and into the Inuit territory of Nunatsiavut. The Inuits are said to be very hospitable and are eager to discuss the effects of climate change of their environment.

The park biologists count these bears and watch their population. While looking for Polar Bears you will also see wolves, golden eagles and whales. Plus, the scenery is some of the most beautiful on the planet.

Outfitters usually leave in the Spring. So now is the time to investigate a trip. If you're looking for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

Adventures in Aviation

Sometime an adventure can just be going to the movies.

Amelia, the new film based on the life and legend of Amelia Earhart is out in theaters now. Hilary Swank plays Earhart and looks remarkably similar. Richard Gere is Earhart's love interest and husband, George.

The movie is interesting but has a tendency to run slow at points. The film could have been made to be a bit more, thrilling and - yes, "adventurous." The movie is just as much a 'romance' as it is the story of a dare-devil aviatrix. I think the film would have benefited by showing more guts and glory than 'making out'and lusty behavior.

Nevertheless, it is a fun film to watch and a story worthy of being told. But Earhart is remembered (and should be remembered) for her courageous and fearless flying and being a female ground-breaker and pioneer. The rest is just frosting that makes the movie a tad bit too sugary, and unnecessary.

"The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward."

Adventures in Fashion

Adventures don't always have to be about travel.

Fashion is a great example of personal expression and creativity - daring to be your own individual.

Today it seems people are increasingly casual in their attitude toward fashion. Of course there are the devotees but if you walk through an airport or mall you'll see more people in sweatpants and jeans than stylish pants and skirts.

Speaking of a fashion day in history. Today in 1914, the first-ever fashion show was organized by Edna Woodman Chase of Vogue Magazine. The show was appropriately held in New York City at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

Take the time to be more 'adventurous' in your fashion-style. You'll be surprised how many people notice and are inspired by a well put together outfit. Raise the bar for yourself and others. When you look good you feel good - and that's reason enough to take the time to be a bit more daring.
